KASSIAN, Eileen K. - Joint funeral services for Eileen K. and Edward Kassian, of 51 Windsor Rd. Massena, NY will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at St. John's Episcopal Church in Massena with Rev. Joel Grigg presiding. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery II in Norfolk. Calling hours for Mr. and Mrs. Kassian will be held Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church Memorial Fund, or Hospice & Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley. Eileen died Friday (November 14, 2008) in an automobile accident on Cornwall Island. She is survived by her children Michael E. and wife Christine of Massena, Douglas E. and wife Lucille T. Kassian of Massena, N.Y., Sylvia K. and husband Michael L. Bayle of Wilton, NY. Four grandchildren, Kathleen E. , Evan M. Alycia L. and Andrew D. Kassian all of Massena. Four sisters,and three brothers, Helen Erdody of Livonia, Mich., Mary Lemke of Warren, Mich.,Dorothy Zanella of Ottawa, Ontario, Doreen Smutz of New Jersey, Ted Abraham of Victoria, BC,Sam Abrahamof Cornwall, Ontario,Richard Abraham of Cornwall, Ontario. She was predeceased by a sister and four brothers, Olivia Moses, Norman, Fred, Nasab, Nusri Abraham. Mrs. Kassian was born in Cornwall, Ontario, the daughter of Asaf and Barbara (Kalil) Abraham. She married Edward Kassian on August 23, 1958 at the Trinity Angilcan Church in Cornwall, Ontario. She was employed at Bon-Ton Department Store as a sales clerk for many years.
