Mrs. Sae Omae August 2, 1916 - September 4, 2008 - SAE OMAE (nee Baba) With great sadness the family of Sae Omae announces her passing, at age 92, on Thursday September 4, 2008 at Scarborough General Hospital. Born in 1916 in Kagoshima, Japan, Sae immigrated toVancouver in 1936. After internment in New Denver, B.C., she settled in Thunder Bay and later in Toronto. Predeceased by her husband Nobuo, she leaves behind her children, Kim (Michelle), Tak, Aki (Carol), Lily and Naomi (Garry Kinoshita); grandchildren Julia (Scott Paget), Kenji (Hee Jung), Dana (John Spencer) and Nicole and great grandchildren Maia and Glenn. She will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered by her family and many friends as a caring, independent, energetic, adventurous, fun-loving woman. Special thanks to Rev. Kawano and to the staff at Scarborough Grace and Scarborough General Hospitals (Palliative Care). Funeral Service will be held at the Highland Funeral Home, 3280 Sheppard Ave. E. (just west of Warden), 416-773-0933, on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 11:30 a.m.in our Chapel.
