George Paul LABUTE

Mr. George Paul Labute July 19, 1926 - October 8, 2008 - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father on October 8, 2008 at the age of 82 at the Hospice Village. Greeting him with loving arms is his life partner of 50 years, Yvonne (2002). Dear son of the late George and Clara Labute. He joins his brother Charles and sister Rosemary. Will be missed by his brother Stan and sister Evelyn . "Big brother" to his buddy and nephew David Hayes. Number one dad to Gary and Cindy, Debra and Kevin McFadden, Mary Dumontier and Martin Nosanchuk, and Sandra. Dear grandpa to Keith, Richard, Mark, and Steven McFadden ; and Jay and Craig Stan. George was humourous, disarming and a master storyteller. George worked many years in the automotive industry and retired as a custodian with the Essex County Board of Education. A special thank you to the staff and volunteers of the Hospice of Windsor for your loving care during George's journey. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Hospice of Windsor. Visiting Thursday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at The Marcotte Funeral Home, 12105 Tecumseh Rd. Tecumseh, (519-735-2830). Parish Prayers Thursday 7:30pm. A final prayer will take place from the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. to Ste. Anne Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Robert Couture will be the celebrant. Interment Ste.
