Mr Arlie Leslie Shaban - October 24, 2008 - Arlie Leslie Shaban (WWII Veteran) Peacefully, at Winbourne Park Nursing Home on Friday October 24, 2008 in his 86th year surrounded by all his family. Beloved husband of 60 years to Lillian. Loving father of Bob, Rick, Eric, and the late Charles, and Chris. Dear father-in-law of Gail, Colleen, Cathy, Sherry, and Mari-Ann. Proud grandfather of Elizabeth, Geoff, Chris, Tracy, Amanda, Jennifer, Andrew, Shoba, Melissa, Daniella, Arlie, Matthew, Angela and Michelle. Great-grandfather of Abigail, Marcus, Isabella, and Mya. Adoring Uncle of Arlie. Special thanks to Veteran’s Affairs Canada, and Winbourne Park for the support and care they provided in Arlie’s last years. The family will receive friends at the McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Old Kingston Road, Pickering Village (Ajax) 905-428-8488 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday. The Funeral Service will be held at Faithway Baptist Church, 1964 Salem Rd. (at Taunton Rd.) Ajax, on Thursday October 30, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens, Ajax.
