Mrs. Sylvia Edgecombe December 2, 1943 - October 30, 2008 - SYLVIA EDGECOMBE (AUNT JEAN) SCARBOROUGH, ONTARIO Sylvia Edgecombe left this world on October 30, 2008 following a sudden illness. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Sylvia had touched in some way throughout her full and memorable life. Sylvia was a gifted hairdresser whose creativity and passion for beauty gave joy to many people. Her enthusiasm for life, love, and family will be missed by her children: Conrad, Paul, Debbie, and Erica; her daughter-in-law; grandchildren (20); brothers Trevor and Niel; sister Debbie; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Visitation will take place at Highland Funeral Home - Scarborough Chapel, 3280 Sheppard Avenue East (west of Warden on Sheppard) on Thursday, November 6th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Friday, November 7th, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held on Saturday, November 8th at Rosewood Church of the Nazarene located at 657 Milner Ave., Scarborough at 10:30 a.m. The burial will be at Pine Ridge Cemetery.
