Mrs. Eleanor Irene Gerrior - November 17, 2008 - Passed away peacefully in Oak Terrace Nursing Home, Orillia, Ont., on Monday, November 17, 2008. Eleanor Irene Gerrior of Halifax, age 88, beloved wife of the late James Wilfred Gerrior (Second World War veteran); loving mother of Barry Gerrior and his wife Cathy of Barrie, Ont. She was predeceased by daughter, Cheryl Sutherland (Halifax). Cherished Nan of Jennifer, Shawn, Erica and Erin. Eleanor was also predeceased by her brothers, Walter Smith and Jason Smith. She will be sadly missed by her son-in-law, Bruce Sutherland; sister-in-law, Alfreda Smith; nephew, Carl Smith and niece, Janie Nickerson. A service will be held in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax, on Friday, November 28, at 11 a.m. Interment of cremated remains in Fairview Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
