Mr. Donald Franklyn Reid - November 23, 2008 - 72, Lower Sackville, passed away November 23, 2008, in Glades Lodge, Halifax, he was formerly of 24 Stanley St., Lower Sackville. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late James and Helen (Edmonston) Reid. He was retired after 15 years of service with the Halifax District School Board. He is survived by his son, Donald James (Patricia) Reid; grandsons, Corey, Kevin, and Kyle; brother, Bill, Halifax; sister, Barbara (Harold) O'Connell, Dartmouth. He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley (Leadley) Reid; brothers, James, Halifax; Danny, Lower Sackville. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 Tuesday in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Knox United Church, Lower Sackville. Burial in Oakridge Memory Gardens.
