Janice "Anita" Temple January 6, 1962 - November 27, 2008 - TEMPLE – Janice Anita 1962 - 2008 On November 27, 2008, Anita left this life after a ten-year battle with cancer. Due to her positive attitude and great determination, she defied all odds for many years. There was not a more loving and caring friend, a more thoughtful and devoted daughter, a more trusted and true sister or a more inspiring co-worker. She was the greatest storyteller and shared her joys so easily. She was unique in her perception of people, seeming to sense their needs, offering her loving friendship and help to them. She just made people feel good. She was a good student, and excelled in all subjects including music, art, track and field, plus team sports. In her work life she was a great leader and mentor and expertly trained others in her field. After working for Shell Canada for a number of years she formed her own company, which prospered. She was fearless in so many ways, never afraid to step up to a new challenge. She lived her life to the fullest, enjoying her passions for work, travel, adventure and family. Anita lived her life 'outside the box' and made everyone around her feel her energy and enthusiasm. Anita was born to parents Glenn and Joyce Temple in Innisfail AB, actually as the New Years baby of 1962. She was predeceased by her maternal and paternal grand parents and by her father. She is survived by her loving partner Louise Carbonneau, mother Joyce Temple of Lethbridge, brother Douglas Temple of Calgary, sister Mary Lee (Mark) Simpson, sister Tanyss (Chuck) Bain of Saskatoon, and nephews Alex, Robbie and Connor Simpson. A Memorial Service will be held at Hillhurst United Church, 1227 Kensington Close NW, Calgary on Monday December 1, 2008 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Weekend to End Breast Cancer, to team “ONEANDAHALF BOOBS” (www.endcancer.ca).
