LA VIGNA, Giovanni - Suddenly passed away on Sunday, November 23rd, 2008 at the St Catharines General Hospital at 84 years of age surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Maria (Calabrese) of 67 years. Dear father of Antonietta La Vigna, Filomena (Joe) Napolitano, late son Alfie (Angie) La Vigna, Lisa (Sam) Bilardo, Anna (Tim) Miotto. Brother of Maria and the late Antonio and nieces and nephews. Nonno will be greatly missed by his twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Giovanni is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will take place on Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral Liturgy will take place at St. Alfred's Church on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Entombment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow.
