LAPLANTE, Alexander John (Bud) - At the Cornwall Community Hospital on Sunday November 23, 2008. He was 85. He leaves his loving wife of 58 years, Janine “Nean“ (Montpetit) Laplante. Dear father of Don (Claire), Dan (Sandy) and Jennifer. Sadly missed by 4 grandchildren, Melanie (Brenton), Chris (Lianne), Josh and Nicholas and 5 great grandchildren, Caleb, Tyler, Mia, Ethan and Sophie. Survived by niece Michelle. Predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Jennie (Grant) Laplante, sister Daphne and half-sisters Rhea, Olga, Genevieve, and Pat and half- brothers Donald and Rex. Friends will be received at the M. JOHN SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall on Wednesday from 2 - 4pm and 7 - 9pm and on Thursday from 9 - 9:30am. Funeral Mass Thursday November 27, 2008 at St. Columban's Catholic Church 10am followed by cremation. Rite of Committal, St. Columban's Parish Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to St. Columban's Church Foundation would be appreciated by the family. All Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 297 and the RCAFA Wing 424 are requested to assemble at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7p.m. for tribute to the late Alexander (Bud) Laplante. 11334294
