LAMONTAGNE, George Arthur - Passed away on Thursday November 27, 2008 at the Royal Victoria Hospital with family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. George Lamontagne in his 75th year was the beloved husband and best friend of Theresa (nee Wright). Dear father of David and his wife Becky. Loving Poppa of David Jr. and Brooklyn. Loving son of the late George and Anne Lamontagne. Dear brother of Margaret and the late Bud Johnston, Martha and the late Lucille of Ottawa. Special uncle of Kimberley Johnston of Mississauga. Brother- in-law of Charles Wright and the late Carol of Barrie, Allan and Marilyn Wright of Minesing, Sharon and Stu Harris, Jo-Anne and David Wright of Barrie, Don and Helen Wright of Stayner and Len and Debbie Wright of Wasaga Beach. George will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call at the Jennett Chapel of the McCLELLAND & SLESSOR FUNERAL HOME, 152 Bradford Street in Barrie on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers will be held in the chapel on Sunday at 8:45 p.m. A funeral service will take place in the chapel on Monday December 1st 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Spring interment at Barrie Union Cemetery. Services entrusted to St. Mary's Parish. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Royal Victoria Hospital Cancer Care Centre or Furry Friends Homeless Cat Shelter, Barrie would be appreciated.
