OBITUARY FLORENCE SNARCH September 8, 1922 - November 27, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Florence Snarch (nee Gold) in Toronto on Thursday, November 27, 2008. Florence died with her loving children Jo-Ann and Gary by her side. She is predeceased by her parents Jack and Minnie Gold, her brothers Sam and Mike Gold and her sister Esther Label. She is survived by her devoted children Jo-Ann Shapiro and Gary Snarch, her daughter-in-law Claudie, her sister and brother-in law Ronnie and Sol Nish and sister-in-law Ida Gold. She was the beloved bubby of Jillian Shapiro (Chris Joliffe), Neil Shapiro (Loretta Walsh), David and Rachel Snarch and her great-grandchildren Noah and Micah. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the wonderful care provided Florence at the Apotex Centre of Baycrest in Toronto, and would like to give special thanks to Dr. Sam Rubenzahl for his guidance. The family would also like to thank the staff at Humber River Regional Hospital, especially the care and compassion provided by Dr. Ali Al-Hellawi, Dr. Steven Rubenzahl and nurse Lucy Kukac. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 30 at 1 pm at Pardes Shalom Cemetery, Richmond Hill (Toronto, Ontario). Shiva will be at 23 Flanders Road, Toronto from 2 pm on, until Tuesday evening December 2. Donations to the Baycrest Foundation would honour her memory. Published in the Montreal Gazette on 11/29/2008
