Bruno A. Hennessy BATHURST, NB - Bruno Aloysius Hennessy, 78, of Hennessy Street, Bathurst, passed away peacefully at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, early on Saturday morning, July 31, 2004. Born in West Bathurst, on December 18, 1925, he was the son of the late Patrick Joseph and Bridget Beatrice Theresa (Moran) Hennessy. He served during World War II after joining the Carleton York Regiment, and was a member of the Herman J. Good V.C. Br. 18 Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. After the war he was with the T. Eaton Co. in Campbellton, NB, then in mining, after which he worked for the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill until his retirement. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Stella Marie Thibodeau on March 17, 1984; and his very special friend, Jenneke Poirier on September 5, 2003. He is survived by two sisters, Lucy Catherine Jarratt (late Sydney) and Mary Patricia Anne "Anna" Wesenberg (late Henrik), both of Bathurst; two brothers, James Alexander Hennessy (Frances Mary) and Dr. Robert Douglas Hennessy (Therese) both of Bathurst; many nieces and nephews in Bathurst and other parts of Canada and USA. He was also predeceased by brothers, Manus John in 1932, Roger Francis in 1988, Bernard William Varrily in 1929; and sister, Dorothy Angela in 1921. The body is resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday afternoon (August 2, 2004) at 2 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave, Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. www.elhatton.com
