George Frank Jollymore January 19, 1924 - July 28, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) JOLLYMORE, George Frank - 80, 28 Idlewilde Rd., Armdale, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004, in QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Pictou, he was a son of the late George and Nellie (Cook) Jollymore. He was a retired stationary engineer from the Department of National Defence and served with the 7th Anti-Tank Regiment in the Second World War. He was past president of the W8AA, and was involved with the Armdale Minor Hockey Association. He also played with the Dartmouth Crawlers Old Timers Hockey. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Gwendolyn Lanigan; sons, George J. (Diane), James L., (Carol), Frank D. (Brenda), John W. (Shirley), Thomas R. (Brenda); daughters, Adele (Ronnie), Cathy (Gary); 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, Roy; sisters, Moyra, Florence; half-brothers, Percy, James, Harry, Jack; half-sisters, Bessie, Mable, Beatrice. Visitation will be today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., funeral service will be Saturday, July 31, at 10:30 a.m., both in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax.
