DESJARDINS, Normand – At the Ottawa Hospital, General Campus on Thursday, December 4, 2008. Normand Desjardins of St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre; age 71 years. Beloved husband for 40 years of Doris (Chatelain) Desjardins. Loving father of Brigid Vandermey (late Rob) of Ottawa, Denis Desjardins of Beijing, China and Marc Desjardins (Sue) of Boston, Massachusetts. Cherished grandfather of Jacob and Nicole. Dear son of the late Eugene Desjardins and the late Odanna (Lapalme) Desjardins. Dear brother of Lucien Desjardins (Jacqueline) and Thérèse Brisson (late Arthur) both of Sudbury, Guy Desjardins of Barrie, Archie Desjardins (late Pauline), Jacqueline Dubé (late Rolland) and Gaetanne Desjardins all of Cornwall and Rita Clackett (Ron) of Killaloe, ON. Predeceased by two brothers, René Desjardins (late Simone), André Desjardins (late Grace) and by one sister, Cécile Ladouceur (Fern). Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Resting at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482) from 2 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Monday, December 8, 2008 for Service in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Interment, Notre Dame Cemetery. The family will be in attendance from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 11 a.m. until time of Funeral on Monday. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
