JOHNSTONE, Christine (nee MacNain) On Sunday, December 21, 2008 at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Christine Johnstone, beloved wife of the late George Johnstone and sister of Margaret Blair, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle. She will be greatly missed by family and friends and was a caring mother to Kathy Lisson, Sue Irving and Peter Johnstone; grandmother of five, Shawn and Kristy Irving, David and Karen Lisson and Keith Johnstone; and great-grandmother of Lauren Irving. Friends may call at the Highland Funeral Home, 3280 Sheppard Ave. East (just west of Warden), from 3:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2008. A private family funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
