Rosalie ABERMAN

ABERMAN, Rosalie. Passed away at her home in Westport, CT on December 24, 2008 after a long illness. She is survived by her mother, Ethel Aberman, of Montreal. Rosalie was the devoted mother of Stephanie (Lecker) and Bob Sherman, Kara and Jamie Lecker and Wendy Lecker and Peter Schaffer and the loving grandmother (Yo-ee) of Jacob, Corey and Kate Sherman, Joshua and Madison Lecker and Laura, Julia and Noah Schaffer. She is also survived by her siblings Myrna Schiff, Arnie and Janis Aberman, Zave and Celia Aberman and Susan Aberman and Louis Dzialowski. Rosalie was predeceased by her father Jack Aberman and brother-in-law Jerry Schiff. She was, for many years, the Chief Executive Officer of Hall-Brooke Foundation, Westport, CT and, among her accomplishments, was the establishment of permanent housing for chronically mentally ill patients.
