RICHMOND, Hazel - At Errinrung Residence in Thornbury on Wednesday, December 3, 2008. The former Hazel Whateley, daughter of the late William and Margaret Ann (née Knott) Whateley, in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Clarence Roy Richmond in 1997. Loved mother of Bill Richmond of Thornbury, and step mother of Jean Gillespie of Meaford, and Margaret and her husband Jesse James of Ravenna. Sadly missed grandmother of Tim Gillespie of Meaford, Mark and his wife Karen James and their children Ruth and Roland of Clarksburg and predeceased by a granddaughter, Laura James. Predeceased also by her sister Wilma Pyatt and by her brother Ivan Whately and fondly remembered by their families. Family will receive friends at the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, The Valley Chapel, 20 Alice Street East in Thornbury on Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral and committal services, officiated by Pastor Jim Neale, will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 11 a.m. A private interment will take place at Thornbury-Clarksburg Union Cemetery.
