ASTLEY, Barbara Louise - Born in Toronto, May 21, 1921, moved to Whitby as a young woman where she went on to meet her husband of 65 years Douglas B. Astley. Barbara passed away peacefully on Friday December 19, 2008 at Raglan Village in Collingwood in her 88th year. Loving mother of Robert and his wife Thelma and Eric and his wife Linda. Dear sister of Mary Elizabeth Hoffmann and the late Jack Coleman. Will be forever cherished in the hearts of her grandchildren James and William and extended grandchildren Shelley, Joel and Andrew. Predeceased by her parents D.B. “Ben” and Marguerite Coleman. At Mrs. Astley's request, no formal funeral services will be held. Memorial donations may be made to Pet Trust at Ontario Veterinary College in Barbara's memory.
