John Edward WILSON

WILSON, John Edward - John passed away on Monday, December 22, 2008 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at 75 years of age. After many years of ill health, John has finally found rest and peace. He leaves to mourn his loving wife and partner for 47 years, Nancy, and his sons Graham of St. Catharines, and Peter of Guelph. John graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1959 and had a very successful legal practice in St. Catharines. He served 25 years as the local director for Legal Aid, and was also a Deputy Judge for the Small Claims Court. His church life at Carleton United Church was very important to him where he was a very active member; and he also held a lifetime membership to the St. Catharines Club. John was a friend to all he met. We wish to thank everyone at Linhaven Home for their continuous support and care. John enjoyed many happy days in the Day Program and more recently in the residence. Friends will be received at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church St. (905-684-6346), on Saturday, December 27, 2008 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at Carleton United Church, 527 Carlton St, on Monday, December 29, 2008 at 11 am. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
