MIONE, William Sr. - With heavy hearts, the family of William Mione Sr. announce his passing on Monday December 22, 2008, in his 80th year, at Port Colborne General Hospital. Making our lives so rich with love and laughter and touching all the hearts he met along the way, he will be dearly missed by his children Sandra (Clyde), Joanne (John), Maureen (Dan),Marianne (Vito) and Bill Jr. (Nancy), Leanne. Cherished grandfather of Glenn, Mia, Melissa (Dan), Matthew (Karen), Nadine (Jarod), Andrea, William, David Jr., Steve, Laura, Anthony, Christian, Gabrielle, Riley, Matthew, Cameron, Aidan, Rainbow, Darian and great-grandfather of Lillian and Sophie and special Papa to Roy. William will be missed by his sisters Genevive Guatieri and Faith Tomaino (Peter), sister-in-law Harriet Herman (Howard) and brother-in-law Jack Vandenbosch (Ghislaine) He is predeceased by his wife Mary Mione his great-grandson baby Hunter, infant son of Melissa and Dan, his parents Pasquale and Jean Mione and his step mother Francis Cirivello. Bill was a lifelong resident and businessman of Port Colborne operating Mione's Radio Shack until his retirement. He was a committed parishioner of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus and past president of The Port Colborne Gyro Club. Bills faith, humour, enthusiasm, and zest for life was inspiring to us. He was so loved. Cremation has taken place. Bill's family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Saturday December 27, 2008 from 10-2 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the Armstrong Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Father David Spengler officiating. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date at St. Patrick's R.C. Church (Times to be confirmed). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Port Colborne General Hospital Foundation.
