GORDON, Robert Ingram (WWII Veteran) - After a lengthy battle with cancer, Robert passed away at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia on Sunday December 7, 2008 in his 87th year. Robert, loving husband of Sharon Mae (nee Johnston), will be sadly missed by his daughters Maryann Gordon-Smyshlyayev and husband Ivan of Barrie, and Christine Gordon of Toronto. Robert, dear brother of Jack of Maynooth, Joseph (Jean) of Bradford, and Jean Dobson of Eady, is predeceased by his parents William and Mary Ann Gordon of Uhthoff, by his brothers Clifford, Ken, and Harold, and by his sisters Edith Simmerson, Mary Barr, and Gladys Devitt. The family will receive friends at the DOOLITTLE CHAPEL OF CARSON FUNERAL HOMES, 54 Coldwater St. E. Orillia, (705) 326-3595, on Tuesday December 9, 2008 from 2- 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11 o'clock.
