COCKERTON, Kenneth Arthur William (WWII Veteran) - Passed away peacefully at Frost Manor in Lindsay on Saturday, December 13, 2008. Ken, in his 84th year, was the beloved husband of the late Theresa Basemann. Proud and adored father of Cathie and her husband Don Scott, Elaine and her husband Don Hutton, and Eric Cockerton. Precious grandpa of Corey, Jannette (predeceased), and Melanie, Jay and Rob. Treasured great grandpa of Kaleb, Tyler and Anjali. Dear brother of Olive Haggart and Grace Johnson (predeceased). Much loved stepfather of Helmut and his wife Gloria Sandke, Hans and his wife Francine Sandke, and Alphonse and his wife Carol Caouette. Loving step grandfather and step great grandfather of Barbara, Connie, David, Marie Jose, Peter, Anthony, Justin, Ryan, Jordan, Megan, Kaitlyn, Michael, Kirsten, Owen and Adele. Fondly remembered by an extended family and many friends. Visitation at the MACKEY FUNERAL HOME, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Tuesday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, December 17th from 1:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Private family interment at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay.
