KERR, Robert - At the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie on Saturday, December 6, 2008. “They will walk with me in white, for they are worthy“ (Revelation 3:4). Bob was born May 22, 1934 in Toronto. Beloved father of Debra (Robert Piche) and John, and adored grandfather of Chelsea, Larissa, Alicia and Ryan, all of Barrie. Son of the late Claude and Maude Kerr of Stouffville. Twin brother of John (Irene) of Barrie, and Ruth Steckley of Stouffville. Stepdad of Donald, Roy, Robert, Ronnie and the late Norman Barker. Bob was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was active throughout his life in lobbying local governments on accessibility issues in Barrie and Simcoe County. A celebration of Bob's life will be held in the chapel at Emmanuel Baptist Church (4120 Salem Road, Barrie) on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 11 AM with Pastors Rick Buck and Todd Dugard officiating. Friends will be received at 10 AM. A luncheon will follow. Private interment of the cremated remains at a later date.
