Gerry Lucas August 23, 1932 - November 09, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Marcotte Funeral Home & Chapel (Tecumseh) Lucas, Wm. (Gerry) 72 years, on November 9, 2004 at Victoria Hospital, London, ON. After a lengthy and courageous battle fought with the quiet diginty displayed during his life, Gerry succumbed peacefully with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Margaret (McCrickard), and loving father of Blake and wife Diane and Tracey St. Germain and husband John. Proud grandfather and biggest fan of Kurt , Madison, Ryan and Jamie. Gerry was an employee of Sears Canada for 38 years, retiring from his position of controller in 1990. He was a member of the Windsor and Essex County Senior Sports Organization and was an active participant in both baseball and hockey until just months prior to his passing. Gerry was a prior member of Lakewood Golf Club. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 12, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m with parish prayers at 8 p.m.. The funeral service will be held at the Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Rd. Tecumseh on Saturday, November 13, 2004 at 9:45 a.m. to St. Gregory the Great Church, Tecumseh for Mass of the Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Gerard Dewan officiating. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre. A tree will be planted in memory of Gerry Lucas in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on September 25, 2005. All are welcome.
