Mrs. Adeline Adalaide Jackson July 29, 1914 - December 18, 2008 JACKSON, Adeline Adalaide 94, of Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully in the VG Site, QEII, on Thursday, December 18, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 29, 1914, and wasa daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Margaret Brophy. Adeline is survived by her children, Fred (Carol), Ottawa, Ont.; Delores Chester, Halifax; David, Upper Sackville; Beverly Walsh, Terence Bay; Jerome, Terence Bay; Sandra (Donald), Lower Sackville; Donald (Ana), Dartmouth; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; eight great great-grandchildren; and a stepbrother, Francis Brophy. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Jackson; daughter, Mabel; brothers, Dennis, Irvine, and Joseph; sister, Elizabeth. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Vimy No. 27. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, December 21, in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax, with memorial service on Monday, December 22 at 10 a.m., followed by burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lower Sackville.
