Maureen Veronica SMITH

AMEY, Maureen Veronica (nee Smith) Retired R.N., General Hospital, Ottawa On Tuesday, December 30, 2008, at the age of 76, at Almonte Country Haven. Beloved wife of the late James Clement Amey. Loving mother of Cynthia, Sheila (Robson), Connie and Laura (Quade). Proud grandma of Drake, Gracie, Violet and Lily. Dear sister of Phyllis, Edith and the late Gerald, Donald and Elmer. Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Mom's love of music was a constant in her life. She will be fondly remembered for playing the piano, singing with dad and in the choir. She also held many cherished memories of growing up in Low, Quebec. Special thanks to the wonderful staff of the Almonte Country Haven. Maureen will be fondly remembered by friends/colleagues of the 1953 graduating class of Ottawa University. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 580 Eagleson Road, Kanata, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service Monday in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Martin's Cemetery, Martindale, Quebec, Monday at 2:30 p.m. In Memoriam donations to Elisabeth Bruyere Pavilion appreciated.
