PHELAN, Michael L. CD In hospital after a lengthy battle with COPD/Emphysema on December 28, 2008 at age 68 in Parksville, BC. Mike leaves behind his much loved daughters Kelly (Rene De Lasalle), Penny (Ron Gillard) and Cindy (John Drazic) and their mother Sharon Fox (wife of the late David Fox). Adored grandfather of Shane, Summer, Virginia, Lisa and Christian. Son of the late Michael and Adele Phelan and brother of Bill (Gina) of Ottawa. Mike was in the Royal Canadian Signal Corps and then had a successful career in sales. He leaves behind many great friends, relatives and great memories in Ottawa and British Columbia. Donations to the Canadian Lung Association in Mike's memory would be greatly appreciated. Service and interment to be arranged at a later date in Ottawa. Published in the Ottawa Citizen on 1/3/2009
