Delena Margaret C. POLLOCK

Delena Margaret Catherine Marsh (Pollock) December 17, 1915 – January 31, 2009 Passed away peacefully at Stensrud Lodge on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the age of 93. Delena is survived by her daughter, Catherine Ann Bourassa (Ernie), children and grandchildren; son, Charles James Marsh (Lorraine), children and grandchildren; her sister, Evelyn Munday (Jim, deceased); and many nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Cella and Charles Pollock; her husband, Bert Marsh; brothers, Ken, Bill, John and Lyle; stepbrother, Cecil Pollock; and stepsisters, Mabel Searle and Zetta Carson. Our mother, grandmother and great grandmother was a warm and loving individual who will be greatly missed. She married Bert Marsh April 26, 1940 and lived in many places in Saskatchewan and Alberta following her husband’s career with the Co-op and Saskatchewan Wheat Pool. Mom worked with Dad in Olds, Alberta and many years in Edmonton at Johnston and Johnston Department Store in the shoe department. An occupation she was still passionate about ensuring the staff at Stensrud Lodge were wearing proper footwear. She also worked at Ida’s Ladies Wear in Saskatoon. Over the years Mom was involved with many organizations including Rebekah and Eastern Star. The Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Park Funeral Chapel, 311 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK. Interment will take place at Tisdale Cemetery, Tisdale, SK at a later date. Condolences to the family may be sent through Park’s website www.parkfuneral.ca.
