Gary John LADICK

LADICK, Gary John 1930 - 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Ladick, a loving Husband, Father, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle and Friend, after a long and courageous battle with Muscular Dystrophy. Pa was called home on Friday, January 16, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. Survived by his beloved wife and best friend Gwen, of fifty-five years, their four children Jack (Cheryl) Ladick, Bill Ladick, Sandra (Heimen) VanEssen, Michelle (Gary) Duits, seven grandchildren, Jana, Tanis, Rachelle, Brett, Ryan, Samantha and Becca. Also survived by his brother Ron (Marge) of Abbotsford, BC and predeceased by his mother Edna and sister Jeannine. At Gary's request there will be no Funeral. A small family celebration of Pa's life was held in their home. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Society, 700 - 1401 West Broadway, Vancouver, BC V6H 1H6 in Gary's name. A bench will be placed in his memory at the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary. Pa's strength and love of family will be with us forever. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, 2 Cor 5:8.
