Patricia Jane PRIMEAU

PRIMEAU, Patricia Jane At home on Sunday, 18 January 2009. Dear wife and closest friend of Wayne. Originally from Santa Monica, California, Patti met Wayne when both were students at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She emigrated to Canada during Centennial Year 1967. Subsequently she obtained two degrees with distinction and high honours from Carleton University in Ottawa. She was an avid photographer and traveller. Friends know her devotion to animals and her willingness to provide a helping hand in any emergency or difficult situation in Canada or in the various parts of the world she and Wayne lived and worked, especially throughout Eastern and Southern Africa, Russia, Israel, Jordan and especially the Palestinian Territories. She will be sorely missed by her husband, her relatives in the UK and USA, her friends around the world, as well as the 5 rescue dogs and cats (again from around the world) that are the latest four-footed occupiers of their wonderful and loving home. A Mass in Memory of Patti will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1489 Shea Road (at Abbott Road) Stittsville, (613-836-8881) on Thursday, 22 January, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Kelly Funeral Home, Kanata, 613-591-6580. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to either a Cancer related society or a Humane society near you - especially the Animal Visitation Program to hospitals and shut-ins in which Patti and her beagle, Hannah, participated for a number of years.
