DAVIES, Verna Violet - Peacefully, at the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, on Friday, January 16th, 2009 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Frederic Davies. Dear mother of Doreen Davies of Peterborough, Gerald Davies and his partner Sandy of Ennismore, Leilani Davies and her husband Mel Crim of Orillia, George Russell and his partner Linda of Orillia, Diana Goldsmith and her partner Richard Hancock of Orillia, Lorraine and her husband John Jentkins of Grande Prairie AB and the late Linda Davies and Robert Davies. Loved grandmother of many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Loving sister of Walter Bignell, Gerald Fish, Dorothy Watman and Harriet Turner, all predeceased. Also remembered by many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at the SIMCOE FUNERAL HOME, 38 James St. E., Orillia on Tuesday, January 20th from 11 a.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Memorial donations to the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
