Aino LOON

LOON, Aino “Ina“ - Passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Monday, January 19, 2009 at the Welland Hospital, in her 86th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Walter (2000), her daughter Karen (1955) and her infant son. Survived by her son Dr. Alan Loon and daughter in law Caroline. Proud and loving grandmother of her granddaughters Taylor and Jordan. Aino was born in Kihelkonna, Estonia on February 20, 1923 and was extremely proud of her heritage. She was a former employee of the Region of Niagara at the Linhaven Home for the Aged. Aino enjoyed her gardens and travelling to her favourite destination of Hawaii. The family will receive friends at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street (905-684-6346) on Thursday from 2- 4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, January 23, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. Inurnment at a later date at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations made to C.A.P.D. (Dialysis) Unit at the Ontario Street Site of the Niagara Health System would be appreciated by the family.
