Joseph Anthony GILLES

GILLES, Mr. Joseph Anthony - Passed away in Houston, Texas, on Monday January 5, 2009, formerly of Fonthill in his 91st year. Predeceased by his wife Helen (2005) and he will be lovingly remembered by his dear daughter, Joan Marissa Endicott and her husband Tracy of Houston, Texas, and his sister Irene Conman of Bright, Ontario. He is predeceased by his parents John and Magdalena Gilles, brothers Robert, John and Sister Mary Francis Xavier. Joe was a Flight Lieutenant, served as a pilot in the R.C.A.F. for six years in the Middle and Far East during World War II. His working life was spent in the U.S.A. working for Occidental Petroleum as a Chemical Engineer. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Alexander's Catholic Church, 50 Pelham Town Square, Fonthill, on Thursday January 29, 2009 at 12:30 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Alexander's Church or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. JAMES L.
