BIDAL, Gaëtan - 1947-2009 The family announces with sorrow his death at the West Nipissing General Hospital, Sturgeon Falls, Saturday January 24 2009, at the age of 61 years. Son of the late Nestor and of the late Eva (née Leach) Bidal. Loving husband of Thérèse Bidal (née Ducharme) of Sturgeon Falls. Dear father of Gilles (Debbie), Carole (Jean François) and Guy (Julie) all of Sturgeon Falls. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Jason, Philip and Jessica. Survived by his brothers and sisters Jean Paul (Laura) and Lucien both of Sturgeon Falls, Claude (Madeline) and Léo (Linda) both of Chatham, Madeleine Bidal (Kirk) and Anne Bidal-Cowper (Rob) both of North Bay, Béatrice Potvin (Jean Yves) of Val Rita, Yvon of Sudbury, Denise Foster (Brad) of Corbeil, Rhéal of Iroquois Falls. Predeceased by one brother, Jacques (Agnes of Welland). Gaëtan was the treasurer of the Sturgeon Falls Rod and Gun Club. An avid hunter, he enjoyed fishing, camping and any activity that brought him to the great outdoors. He had a tremendous sense of humor that showed just how much he loved life. His generous spirit and unconditional love for his wife and family will be missed beyond measure. The family will receive friends in Sacré Coeur Church, Sturgeon Falls, Friday after 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be appreciated.
