Christina Elizabeth RUSSELL

RUSSELL, Christina Elizabeth - Peacefully at the Welland County General Hospital on Saturday January 24th, 2009 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Johnnie Russell. Loving mother of John Ross Russell and his wife Andrea of Niagara Falls and Bruce Russell and his wife Maureen of BC. Loving grandmother of Susan, John C. (Jenny), Christie (Dave), Catharine (Shane) and her great- grandchildren Tia, Joel and Noah. Sister of the late Gertie Mackenzie. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and extended family members. Christina was a long time member of Drummond Hill Presbyterian Church, with over 60 year of attendance there. She was an active and Life Member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also an avid supporter of Niagara Falls Junior Hockey and was always known as “the lady with the bell“. At Christina's personal request, cremation has taken place. There will be a Service of Remembrance to be held at Drummond Hill Presbyterian Church followed by a short Eastern Star Service on Saturday, January 31st, 2009 at 3 p.m. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the church from 1p.m. - 3 p.m. then join the family for the services and reception.
