Eleanor M. BATTIGE

AGAWAM - Eleanor M. (Battige) Levesque, of 33 Royal Street, entered into eternal rest of Friday, February 25, 2005 in a local nursing home. Born in Monson, she was a graduate of Monson High School and lived in Agawam since 1948. Eleanor worked for many years for Western New England College before her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Theresa's Church of All Saints Parish. Her husband, Alfred J. Levesque died in 1972. She leaves three sons, Ernest A. Levesque of Turners Falls, Alfred E. Levesque of Cape Cod, Thomas J. Levesque of Agawam, a daughter, Elaina J. Ganti of Winona, New Jersey, a brother, Carl S. Battige of Monson, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The funeral and burial will be private and there will be no calling hours. Agawam Funeral Home is in charge. Published in The Republican on 2/28/2005.
