Louis J. Beaupre, 82, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at a local nursing home. The son of the late Moses and Mary (Rouen) Beaupre was born May 19, 1923, in De Pere, Wis. Louis enlisted in the U.S. Naval Service-Coast Guard during World War II and participated in the amphibious invasion of Iwo Jima and Okinawa, piloting a troop landing craft. He retired from Procter & Gamble after 37 years as an electrician. Louis served as a volunteer fireman for Bellevue and retired as assistant fire chief. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Marion, one son, Robert (Karen) Beaupre, and one daughter, Valerie (Roger) Kolb, all of Green Bay. He is also survived by one grandson, Steve (Kristen) Kolb, Milwaukee; and one great-granddaughter, Havalah Kolb, Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters, Leslie, Delner, Pearl, Iola, John, Alice, Elaine, Jacque, Earl and Harold. Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home & Crematory, 1630 E. Mason St., after 4 p.m. on Sunday. Funeral service 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ron Belitz officiating. Visitation will continue after the funeral service until 8 p.m. Entombment to follow at Nicolet Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
