George BEAUSOLEIL

BEAUSOLEIL, GEORGE, age 98, formerly of Coomer Ave., Warren died Sunday at the RI Veterans Home in Bristol. Born in Fall River, MA, a son of the late Alfred and Leda (Grenier) Beausoleil. Husband of the late Clara (Beaudry) Beausoleil.He worked at Waterman Mill, Goff Oil Refinery, Ermma Bradley Pendleton Hospital and the U.S. Post Office. He was a WWII Veteran, US Army, 3043rd Unit who saw action at Omaha Beach and Ardennes in the Battle of the Bulge. The Government of France awarded him a special commendation for his contributions in helping liberate France. He was also involved in graves registration in France and Germany.He is survived by sister Blanche Stankiewicz of Simi Valley, CA, brothers, Wilfred Beausoleil of Bristol and Eugene Beausoleil of Warren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Rene Beausoleil, Antoinette Brassil and Lillian Pineau.Visitation will be Thursday 5-8 p.m. The funeral will be held Friday at 8:00 a.m. from the WILLIAM J SMITH & SON Funeral Home, 15 Church St., Warren, with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00 a.m. in St Jean Baptiste Church, Main Street, Warren. Interment will be at Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River, MA.
