Bernadette M. BELLIVEAU

PLYMOUTH -- Bernadette M. "Bernie" (Belliveau) Fortin, 80, of Forestdale, died Saturday, May 7, 2005, at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. She was the widow of Joseph A.S. Fortin. Born in Acushnet, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Albertine (Jaillett) Belliveau. She lived in Lake Worth, Fla., for more than 30 years before moving to Forestdale three years ago. Mrs. Fortin was employed at Aerovox for 30 years, retiring in 1975. Survivors include two sons, Gerald J. Fortin and his wife, Pauline, of Forestdale, and Alfred J. Fortin and his wife, Betty, of Honolulu; five sisters, Bertha Savoie of Marlboro, Theresa Fortin of New Bedford, Jean Moreau of Knoxville, Tenn., Angie Turner of Dartmouth and Lillian Viera of Salem; three brothers, Roger Belliveau of Lakeville, Paul Belliveau of Acushnet and Henry Belliveau of Florida; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late Alice Jalbert, and Fred, George and Edward Belliveau. Her funeral will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Fairlawn, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 in St. Anthony's Church, 1359 Acushnet Ave., New Bedford. Burial will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
