Ronald Richard BERNIER

WALLINGFORD - Ronald Richard Bernier, 62, of Regent Court, Wallingford, died, Saturday, April 16, 2005, at the MidState Medical Center in Meriden, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved and devoted husband of Lynn M. (Soos) Bernier.He was born in Hartford on Aug. 6, 1942, a son of the late Lorenzo and Aurore (St. Armand) Bernier, and had been a Wallingford resident since 1979. He was a member of the CT National Guard for six years, and had been employed by Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation for 38 years, where he was treasurer of the United Steelworkers Union. He was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church.Besides his wife of 39 years, Lynn, he is survived by his three loving sons, David J. Bernier and Gary R. Bernier, both of Meriden, and Brian J. Bernier of Wallingford and his fiancée, Ana Maria Tosado of Bridgeport; his brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Lorraine Bernier of Ludlow, Mass.; and his mother-in-law, Violet Soos of Wallingford. He was predeceased by his father-in-law, Nicholas Soos.Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial, which will be celebrated on Thursday at 1 p.m. in Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be private, per his request. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to the American Red Cross, 144 South Main St., Wallingford, CT, 06492.
