Joseph Ezel BERTRAND

KAPLAN - Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2005, in the Kaplan Cemetery honoring the life of Dr. Joseph Ezel Bertrand, 81, of Milton, Fla. who died Wednesday, July 20, 2005.He was a native of Kaplan and had resided in Santa Rosa County, Fla. since 1966. He retired from the University of Florida Experimental Station of Jay and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Dr. Bertrand was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 7027.He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Thelma Lee Bertrand, of Milton, Fla.; two daughters, Melissa and her husband, Brian Jordan, of Milton, Fla. and Michelle and her husband, Randy Curran, of Cameron Park, Calif.; two sons, Kenneth Bertrand and his wife, Nancy, of St. Charles, Mo., and Dr. Joseph Keith Bertrand and his wife, Jean, of Anderson, S.C.; nine grandchildren, Kimberly, Nicole, Kristin, Jarod, Maria, Elizabeth, Troy, Klayton and Jenna; and four great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Louise Bertrand.Graveside services will be conducted by Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan, (337) 643-7276.
