Robert J. Boucher, 88, Green Bay, died Nov. 29, 2005, at home. He was born April 4, 1917, in Green Bay, to the late Elmer and Katherine Boucher. He married Laverne (Ruben) Gerard on July 1, 1987. Robert was an avid gardener and developed two Christmas tree farms. He enjoyed spending time with his brother, Howard, at their river property. He was a member of Xavier Guild for many years. Robert was an accountant at the Hurlbut Company for many years until retirement. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Laverne; four step-children, Sue (Norm) Wied, Paul (Jackie) Gerard, all of Green Bay; Julie (Mike) Janssen, Champlin, Minn.; and Terri (Pete) Waselchuk, Caledonia, Wis.; 15 step-grandchildren; 24 step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; one brother, Howard (Doris) Boucher, De Pere; two sisters, Edna Chappelle, Green Bay; Sister Catherine Mary (Marion) Boucher, St. Louis, Mo.; one sister-in-law, Mary Boucher, Green Bay. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter Boucher, Wilfred Boucher and Alvin Boucher; one sister, Florence Schumacher; two brothers-in-law, Roy Chappelle and John Schumacher; and one sister-in-law, Zita Boucher. Friends may call on Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist, 413 St. John St. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. Guy Blair, S.C.J. officiating.
