CARENCRO - Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005, at a Mass of Christian Burial in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church for Gloria Savoie, 46, the former Gloria Ann Bruno, who passed away at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.Interment will be in Our Lady of Assumption Cemetery in Carencro.The Rev. William Gearheard, pastor of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.Ms. Savoie was a native and lifelong resident of Carencro. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church. Ms. Savoie was a good homemaker and a wonderful mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed her animals and playing bingo.Survivors include husband of 21 years, Joseph Frank Savoie, of Lafayette; one son, Christopher James Bruno and his fianceé, Janice Washington, of Carencro; two daughters, Monique Renee Bruno, of Lafayette, and Pauline Marie Bruno and her fiancé, Kendrick Henry Sr., of Carencro; two brothers, Lawrence Bruno, of Carencro, and Ronald J. Bruno, of Lafayette; four sisters, Dorothy B. Thomas and Cynthia Bruno, both of Lafayette, Louella Carmouche and her husband, Joseph, of Carencro, and Mary Lee Bruno and her husband, Harry Balthazar, of Cecilia; seven grandchildren, Tenisha Bruno, China Bruno, Sylvia Randall, Danea Randall, Terrell Bruno, Kendrick Spencer Henry Jr., and Kenwine Germyrick Bruno; and her companion, Joseph Collins, of Carencro.She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Edgar Bruno and the former Caroline Marie Dural; four brothers, John Joseph Bruno, Junius Bruno, Howard J. Bruno and Clarence Bruno.A rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. Wednesday and will continue from 7 a.m. Thursday until service time.Pallbearers will be John Savoy, Nathaniel Woods, Merchello Carter, Christopher James Bruno, Steven Bruno and Kendrick Henry Sr.Honorary pallbearers will be Lawrence Bruno, Ronald Bruno, Joseph Collins and Lance Thomas.Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N.
