VIOLA D. LaMOTTE BURLINGTON — Viola D. LaMotte, 99, of Burlington died peacefully at home surrounded by her family Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005. She was born June 26, 1906, in Burlington, the daughter of the late Frank and Selina Burbo. Viola was married in 1924 to Nelson LaMotte, who predeceased her in 1982. She leaves her five children, Ethel King of Milton, Charles LaMotte and his wife. Gloria, of Plattsburgh, N.Y., Dorothy Whitney of West Chazy, N.Y., Frederick LaMotte of Plattsburgh, and Howard LaMotte of Burlington; 23 grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; several great-greatgrandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is also survived by her sister-inlaw, Doris LaMotte and her family. She was predeceased by her son, Elmer LaMotte; and by a son-in-law, Frank King Sr. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Aug. 27, at 11 a.m. in the LaVigne Funeral Home. Interment will follow in St. Stephen Cemetery in Colchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. Visiting hours will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the LaVigne Funeral Home, 132 Main St., Winooski.
