George Francis BURKE

DARTMOUTH -- George Francis Burke, 90, of Dartmouth died Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at Sunrise Assisted Living after a long illness. He was the widower of Doris J. (Charon) Burke. Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Patrick and Laura (Beaulieu) Burke. He was a former resident of Fairhaven. He was a communicant of St. Joseph/St. Therese Church. He attended New Bedford Textile School and was a tool grinder at Morse Cutting Tools until he retired. Mr. Burke was an avid bowler and enjoyed golf. Survivors include a sister, Mildred Patenaude of Fairhaven; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Walter Burke. His funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph/St. Therese Church, New Bedford. He will be cremated. Arrangements are by Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New
