Wilfred C. CHARLAND

HOLYOKE - Wilfred C. "Buster" Charland, age 84 of Holyoke, died Saturday, March 5, 2005 at the Holyoke Medical Center. He was born in Rumford, Maine, a son of the late Peter and Mary (Couture) Charland, and was a graduate of the Holyoke Trade School in Holyoke. Buster was a United States Navy veteran of World War II, and was employed as a Sales Manager for forty-two years at Storms Forge Co. in Springfield, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Holyoke Lodge of Elks #902. His wife, Angela C. (Deknis) Charland, died on April 13, 2004. Buster is survived by a son, Barry Charland and his wife JoAnn of Holyoke; a daughter, Laurie A. Galica and her husband Dr. Gary Galica. The funeral will be held Thursday morning at 8:45 from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton St., followed by a Mass in Mont Marie Chapel of Holy Family Parish at 9:45 a.m. Burial will be at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
