Guilford - Marguerite M. Gaudet, 97, of 524 North Madison Road, Guilford, formerly of West Haven, died March 8, 2005.Born in Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late Jean and Julienne Maillet Comeau.Marguerite was the beloved wife of the late Jean Baptiste Gaudet; caring mother of Jeannette (Willie) Gaudet Melanson of Nova Scotia, John E. (Lydia) Gaudet of Richmond, Va., Bernice M. (Robert) Daly of West Haven, Denise M. (Jack) Daly of Guilford, and Allan C. (Linda) Gaudet of Groton. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, a friend, Regina Gerberville, and her beloved nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by five brothers and four sisters.Family was a very important part of Marguerite's life.The funeral from the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Lawrence Church at 11 a.m. The hours of visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
