COTE, VIOLA L.-- Viola L. Cote, 89, of West Chester, PA, died Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at Sunrise of Westtown in West Chester. Born in Bronx, NY, she lived in Yonkers, NY for 37 years before moving to West Chester three months ago. In her pastime she enjoyed dancing, bowling and playing cards. She was predeceased by her husband George Cote and her former husband Andrew Markus. She is survived by her daughters, Viola Dorsam of West Chester, PA and Katherine Gercher of Ligonier, PA; her sons, Richard Markus of San Jose, CA and James A. Markus, Sr. of Seymour, CT; her sisters and a sister-in-law, Gloria Cautillo of Poughkeepsie, NY, Flora Cantillo of Lakewood, NJ, Josephine Villa of Tamarac, FL and Anne Grieco of Lakewood, NJ; her grandchildren, Anthony Dorsam, Kimberly Hobgood, Victoria Gercher, John A. Gercher, M. Jennifer Markus, Sidney Markus, Deborah Cancilla, Samantha Markus, Randolph Markus, Heather Elizabeth Markus and James A. Markus, Jr.; and her great-grandchildren, Tiffany Dorsam and Markus Cancilla. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Friday, January 21, 2005 at D'Elia Funeral Home, Rt. 70 and Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be offered 9 am Saturday at Visitation Church, Brick with burial to follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
