Memorial services for Mrs. Douglas D. Keppel, the former Dianne Crochet, 61, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with the Rev. Richard Fabre and Rev. Mr. L.J. Freyou officiating. Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery in Patoutville.Visiting hours will be observed Tuesday from 8 a.m. until time of service at Evangeline Funeral Home.A native of Weeks Island and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Keppel died at 1:35 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans.Dianne was a keypunch operator and payroll clerk for the State of Louisiana, Dept. of Transportation for 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with her husband Doug, loved to read, and was a dedicated member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.She is survived by her two brothers, Preston Crochet and wife Marilyn and Gary Crochet and wife Robyn; two sisters, Fay Hebert and husband Mitch and Patricia Migues and husband Andrew; a godchild, Amber Migues; several nieces and nephews; two great nieces all of Lydia and her beloved dog, Movada.Mrs. Keppel was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas D. Keppel; and parents, Arthur "Cubby" and Thelma Bergeron Crochet.The family would like to thank all of the Ochsner's Medical Staff, Fay, Patricia, Andrew, Amber, Jay and all of her family and friends that have been there by her and Doug's side.Evangeline Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of the arrangements.
